Honkai Star Rail Fu Xuan Build Guide

Honkai Stra Rail Fu Xuan is a new 5-star Quantum character who belongs to the Path of Preservation. She is the Master Diviner of The Divination Commission. You have met the Master Diviner in the Xianzhou Luofu storyline as an NPC before. Since she was released as a playable character in the Honkai Star Rail 1.3 Phase 2, you can now obtain her through the game’s Gatcha system.

Fu Xuan is a different kind of Preservation character. She reduces incoming damage and shields her team by taking a portion of the damage dealt to them. She can also provide a damage boost and heal her team. Soon, she will play a major role in defining the gameplay. If you manage to pull her, you should build her as soon as possible!

Bleek Breeds Bliss

While Fu Xuan hasn’t been knocked down, the entire team benefits from Misfortune Avoidance. During this time, allies take 10.0% less damage. Fu Xuan triggers HP Restore when her HP falls to 50% or less of her Max HP. This effect restores her HP by 80% of the amount she's missing. It can't activate if she takes a fatal blow. This effect can trigger once per battle by default and can have up to 2 trigger counts max

Technique

Of Fortune Comes Fate

After using the Technique, all team members receive a Barrier lasting for 20 seconds. This Barrier can block all enemy attacks, and the team won't enter battle when attacked. If the Barrier is active, Fu Xuan will automatically activate the Matrix of Prescience at the start of the battle, lasting for 2 turns

Enhances skill level by +2, reaching a maximum level of 15. Also, boosts talent level by +2, reaching a maximum level of 15

Whenever other allies under the protection of the Matrix of Prescience are targeted and attacked, Fu Xuan gains 5 Energy

Upon activation of the Matrix of Prescience, it starts accumulating the total HP lost by all team members during the ongoing battle. Fu Xuan's Ultimate DMG is amplified by 200% of the accumulated HP loss from all team members. However, this value is capped at 120% of Fu Xuan's Max HP. The accumulation resets and begins anew after her Ultimate skill is employed

Fu Xuan's best Light Cone is undoubtedly her signature weapon, "She Already Shut Her Eyes." This 5-star Light Cone synergizes perfectly with her playstyle. As Fu Xuan typically sustains damage while her Skill effect is active, this triggers a significant damage bonus for her entire team. Additionally, this Light Cone provides a substantial HP restoration for all team members at the beginning of each wave, greatly enhancing the team's survivability.

Alternative 5-Star Option

Another excellent 5-star Light Cone for Fu Xuan is "Texture of Memories." It not only grants her a protective shield but also reduces incoming damage, reinforcing her role as a tank. However, unlike "She Already Shut Her Eyes," this Light Cone does not offer team-wide buffs. Therefore, if your current Fu Xuan build can already handle incoming damage effectively, this may not be the optimal choice

Among the available 4-star Preservation Light Cones, "Landau’s Choice" stands out due to its taunt ability and damage reduction. While Fu Xuan's Skill already redirects 65% of damage dealt against allies, this taunt ability can make a significant difference if your allies are still struggling to manage their health.

Hidden Gem - 3-Star Option

Don't overlook the 3-star Light Cone option, "Defense." Despite its name, it doesn't rely on the defense stat. Instead, it continuously restores Fu Xuan's HP every time she uses her Ultimate. In essence, this Light Cone ensures that your tank remains in the fight, continuously healing herself even as she takes damage, effectively rendering her nearly indestructible.

Longevous Disciple

Two-piece bonus: Increases Max HP by 12%.

Four-piece bonus: When the wearer is struck or has their HP reduced by an ally or themselves, their CRIT Rate increases by 8% for two turns, accumulating up to two stacks.

According to us, the current best relics for Fu Xuan are Longevous Disciple Set. While there isn't a perfect Relic set tailored specifically for Fu Xuan in Honkai Star Rail, we recommend utilizing two different two-piece sets to optimize her performance. Longevous Disciple proves to be an excellent choice for Fu Xuan as it bolsters her HP, a vital priority as previously mentioned.

Guard of Wuthering Snow

Two-piece bonus: Reduces damage taken by 8%.

Four-piece bonus: At the start of the turn, if the wearer's HP is equal to or less than 50% of their Max HP, they receive an HP restoration equivalent to 8% of their Max HP and regenerate 5 Energy.

Given Fu Xuan's ability to absorb and distribute damage across the entire party, equipping her with the Guard of Wuthering Snow set is a wise strategic move. This two-piece set reduces the damage Fu Xuan takes, and if you opt for the full four-piece set, it grants her valuable HP restoration and Energy regeneration capabilities. Combining this set with Longevous Disciple might be the most prudent choice to enhance Fu Xuan's overall survivability and utility.

Fleet of the Ageless 

Planar Ornament:

Increases the wearer's Max HP by 12%, which is particularly beneficial for Fu Xuan's survivability. Moreover, when her Speed (SPD) reaches 120 or higher, an additional advantage comes into play. This bonus causes a noteworthy effect—boosting the Attack (ATK) of all allies by 8%. This enhancement further solidifies Fu Xuan's significance in battle as a valuable support character.
